- Apple 6 pieces
- Sugar 5 oz

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200–430°F.
Step 2
Wash and peel the apples, then slice them into wedges.
Step 3
Slice the bread into pieces (about 1 cm thick).
Step 4
Prepare the sugar-egg mixture by combining sugar, water, and the egg.

Dip the bread into the mixture.
Step 6
Prepare the baking dish by greasing it with butter and sprinkling it with breadcrumbs.

Layer the bread in the dish.
Step 8
Then layer the apples on top.
Step 9
Add another layer of bread and decorate.
Step 10
Lower the oven temperature and bake for 30 minutes.
