Flatbreads with Sesame, Seeds, and Cheese on Whey
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 3 cups
- Whey 2 cups
- Toasted Sesame 2 tablespoons
- Sunflower Seeds 2 tablespoons
- Ground Oats 2 tablespoons
- Salt to taste
- Cheese Spread 5 oz
- Activated Baking Soda 1 teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Mix all the dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, salt, seeds, oats or bran).
Step 2
Pour in the whey while stirring. Incorporate the cheese. You will get a thick dark dough. Place parchment paper on a baking sheet.
Step 3
Using a tablespoon, portion out the dough.
Step 4
Sprinkle with sesame and seeds, pressing them lightly into the dough.
Step 5
Optionally, brush the 'cookies' with olive oil and add your favorite spices. I added coriander, nutmeg, and brushed with spicy oil.
Step 6
Bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes at 180–390°F (but keep an eye on them — ovens vary).
