Fisherman's Soup

Ingredients

  • Red drum fish 30 oz
  • Salad Potatoes 4 pieces
  • Carrot 0 oz
  • Parsley 1 piece
  • Onion 1 piece
  • Bay leaf 4 pieces
  • Green peppercorns 1 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Dill to taste
  • Lemon to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Prepare the fish and vegetables. Clean and rinse the fish and vegetables. Take a 4 to 5-liter pot. Pour in about 3 liters of cold water.

Step 2

Cut the vegetables (potatoes, onion) into large pieces. Cut the parsley root into several parts, as it will need to be removed once the soup is cooked. Slice the carrot into half-moons.

Step 3

Bring the water in the pot to a boil, add salt and the vegetables.

Step 4

After about 10–14 minutes, add the bay leaf and black peppercorns (the potatoes should be almost cooked).

Step 5

After 2–3 minutes, add the fish and cook for 7–8 minutes.

Step 6

Rinse the dill, chop it, and add it to the pot. Taste for salt, and add more if needed. Cook for another 2–3 minutes, then turn off the heat.

Step 7

Let it steep for about 5 minutes. Place a slice of lemon in a bowl and pour the soup over it.
