Fig with Honey, Almonds, and Ricotta
Ingredients
- Fig 4 pieces
- Honey 4 tablespoons
- Chopped almonds 2 tablespoons
- Cinnamon to taste
- Butter 4 teaspoons
- Ricotta cheese 2 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 390°F.
Step 2
Make deep cross cuts in the figs and open them up. Drizzle each with a tablespoon of honey, place a piece of butter on top, and sprinkle with cinnamon to taste and crushed almonds, or almond flakes, as I did.
Step 3
Place in the oven for 5–7 minutes in a baking dish. Serve the figs warm, drizzled with the sauce that forms and a tablespoon of ricotta.
