Description

The bread can be frozen.

Ingredients

  • Pitted olives 0 oz
  • Walnuts 5 oz
  • Feta cheese 5 oz
  • Wheat Flour 15 oz
  • Salt 1 teaspoon
  • Dr.Oetker Dry Yeast 0 oz
  • Egg white 1 piece
  • Olive Oil 5 tablespoons
  • Cream 5 oz
  • Whole egg 1 piece

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Preparation. Grate the feta cheese finely using a kitchen grater.

Step 2

Chop the olives into small pieces and coarsely grind the walnuts. Set aside 2 tablespoons of ground walnuts for topping.

Step 3

Grease and flour a baking pan (25x11 cm).

Step 4

Preheat the oven to 355°F.

Step 5

For the dough. Sift 375 grams of flour into a bowl and mix with the yeast.

Step 6

Add the remaining ingredients for the dough (feta cheese, green olives, walnuts, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 egg white, cream, and 5 tablespoons of olive oil) and mix with a mixer on low speed for 2-3 minutes, then on high speed for about 5 minutes until a smooth, homogeneous dough forms.

Step 7

Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place until noticeably increased in size.

Step 8

Lightly flour the dough, remove it from the bowl, roll it out, and place it in the baking pan.

Step 9

Brush the dough with egg yolk and sprinkle with the prepared walnuts.

Step 10

Let it rest for 15 minutes, then place the pan with the dough in the lower third of the oven for baking. Baking time is approximately 35 minutes at 355°F.

Step 11

After baking, remove the bread from the pan and cool on a kitchen rack.
