
Fermented Carrots Not Korean Style

Ingredients
- Turnips 20 oz
- Salt ½ tablespoon
- Sugar ½ tablespoon
- Black Cumin (Cumin) ½ teaspoon
- Green peppercorns ½ teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Grate the peeled carrots using a Korean carrot grater or slice them into thin strips with a vegetable peeler.
Step 2
Add salt, sugar, cumin, and pepper (crushed with a knife), and mix well. Transfer the carrots to clean, dry jars and cover with a clean cloth.
Step 3
Place in the refrigerator for 2 days. Then remove and leave at room temperature for 1 day. During this time, the carrots will ferment.
Step 4
After that, close the jars with screw-on lids and store them in the refrigerator.
