Eggless Chocolate Cake
Ingredients
- Cocoa Powder 5 oz
- Boiling water 15 fl oz
- Vanilla extract 3 spoons
- Sugar 10 oz
- Wheat Flour 15 oz
- Baking Powder 2 spoons
- Activated Baking Soda 1 tablespoon
- 9% Vinegar 0 fl oz
- Margarine 10 oz
- Powdered Sugar 10 oz
- Salt a pinch
- Vegetable Oil 5 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients. Preheat the oven to 355°F.
Step 2
Pour half of the cocoa powder into a large bowl and pour boiling water over it. Let it sit for 2 minutes.
Step 3
In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Step 4
Add the butter, vanilla, and sugar to the flour, and mix until well combined.
Step 5
Add the flour mixture to the cocoa and stir.
Step 6
Finally, add the vinegar and stir.
Step 7
Grease the pie dish with vegetable oil.
Step 8
Pour the batter into a pie dish and bake in the oven for 40–45 minutes. To check for doneness, insert a toothpick into the pie; it should come out clean and dry.

Cool the pie on a wire rack.

For the cream, beat the softened margarine with vanilla paste and a pinch of salt using a mixer.
Step 11
Add the remaining cocoa powder and a third of the powdered sugar. Mix well.
Step 12
Gradually add the remaining powdered sugar and pour in the milk. Occasionally scrape down the sides of the mixing bowl with a silicone spatula to ensure the cream is smooth and uniform.
Step 13
Cover the cooled chocolate cake with cream, serve immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
