  • Semolina 1 cup
  • Wheat Flour 1 cup
  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Apple 5 pieces
  • Carrot 1 piece
  • Ground Cinnamon to taste
  • Vanillin to taste
  • Ground clove to taste
  • Margarine 5 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and semolina.

Grease the baking dish well with margarine, sprinkle 1/3 of the mixture, and level it out.

Step 3

Peel the apples and grate them on a coarse grater, then mix with the grated carrot; you can add more carrot if you like.

Step 4

Now we will make layers: in the baking dish, where there is already one layer of the mixture, place half of the apple-carrot mixture, sprinkle with another 1/3 of the mixture, then another layer of apples and carrots. Now sprinkle it with cinnamon, vanillin, and cloves to taste; this will give the dish a subtle and unusual spicy aroma, but don't overdo it, or your dish will be inedible. Top with the remaining mixture.

Step 5

Grate frozen margarine on top, don't be stingy; let it serve as an additional layer for the pie, spreading it evenly.

Step 6

Bake in the oven at 355°F until golden brown.
