  • Milk 15 fl oz
  • Raisins 5 oz
  • Dried Turkey 5 oz
  • Wheat Flour 0 lbs
  • Breadcrumbs 5 oz
  • Sour Cream 5 tablespoons
  • Pastry decorations to taste
  • Powdered Sugar 10 oz
  • Salt a pinch
  • Vanillin 0 oz
  • Dry yeast 0 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Beat 2 eggs with sugar until frothy.

Step 2

Heat the milk until warm, divide it into 2 parts.

Step 3

In 1 part of the warm milk, melt the margarine, and in the other, dissolve the yeast.

Step 4

In a pot, mix the milk-yeast mixture with the sugar-egg mixture, add the sour cream, stir well, then pour in the milk-margarine mixture and add the vanillin, mixing again thoroughly.

Step 5

Then add the raisins, dried fruits, and flour.

Step 6

Knead the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1.5 hours.

Step 7

Before placing the dough in the baking mold, grease it with margarine and sprinkle a little breadcrumbs.

Step 8

Fill the mold halfway with the dough, as it will rise.

Step 9

Bake at 355°F. Large kulichs take about 40 minutes, small ones about 30 minutes.

Step 10

For the glaze, chill the egg whites of 2 eggs and beat them with salt until thick foam forms.

Step 11

Then gradually, without stopping the beating, add the powdered sugar in small portions.

Step 12

After all the powdered sugar has been added, beat for about another 4 minutes.

Step 13

Spread the glaze on the slightly cooled kulichs and leave them until fully set.
