Dough for Pies and Pastries
Baking and Desserts • European
Description
Before you start making the pie, let the dough rest in a warm place for about 20 minutes, after which you can shape it into whatever you have planned. Once you have shaped the dough with the filling into a beautiful pie, let it rest for another 30–40 minutes in a warm place. Your dough will rise, and as a result, the pie will turn out surprisingly soft with a crispy crust.
Ingredients
- Chicken Egg 2 pieces
- Milk 5 fl oz
- Sugar 2 tablespoons
- Dry yeast 0 oz
- Butter 5 oz
- Wheat Flour 30 oz
- Water 4 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Heat the milk in a saucepan, add the sugar and yeast, and while constantly stirring the contents of the saucepan, wait until the added ingredients dissolve in the milk.
Step 2
Then melt the butter and pour it into the milk along with 4 tablespoons of warm water. Following the water and butter, add 150 grams of flour and, if you have a mixer, use it; if not, beat the mixture by hand until smooth.
Step 3
During the beating process, add the eggs one at a time, and shortly after, add the remaining flour. Knead the dough. It will turn out soft and pliable.
