Diet Brownies
Ingredients
- Chocolate 53% 5 oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Salt 1⅕ teaspoons
- Baby Cream Puree 5 oz
- Cocoa Powder 1.30 cups
- Egg white 1 piece
- Butter 0 oz
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Vanilla extract 2 teaspoons
- Wheat Flour 3⅖ cups
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 355°F. Line the bottom and sides of a 20 cm square baking pan with foil, leaving about 5 cm of foil hanging over the edges.
Step 2
Melt the chocolate and butter in a double boiler, stirring. Remove from heat and add sugar, egg, egg white, baby food puree, vanilla, and salt, mixing with a whisk until smooth.
Step 3
Sift the flour and cocoa, add to the chocolate mixture, and mix until combined.
Step 4
Spread the batter in the pan and bake for about 30 minutes (until a toothpick comes out dry with a few moist crumbs). I recommend starting to check around 20 minutes — it took me 25 minutes to bake, and it could have been taken out a little earlier.
Step 5
Cool completely in the pan, then lift out using the overhanging foil and cut into 16 squares.
