Devil's Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

  • Cocoa Powder 5 oz
  • Sugar 10 oz
  • Instant coffee 5 oz
  • Butter 10 oz
  • Wheat Flour 10 oz
  • Activated Baking Soda ½ tablespoon
  • Chocolate 10 oz
  • Farm fresh eggs 3 pieces
  • Vanilla salt 1 teaspoon
  • Cream 22% 5 oz
  • Salt a pinch

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Mix cocoa powder with sugar (100 g), pour in hot coffee, and stir. Set aside to cool.

Step 2

Sift the dry ingredients into a bowl (flour, salt, vanilla sugar), and add baking soda.

Step 3

Mash butter (150 g) with the remaining sugar, then add the eggs. Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. Add the coffee mixture and stir until smooth. Divide the batter into 2 parts and bake in a preheated oven at 355°F for about 30 minutes.

Step 4

Melt the remaining butter in a double boiler and add the cream. Remove the hot liquid from heat and stir in the chopped chocolate. Mix until smooth. Set aside to cool and thicken.

Step 5

Spread about 1/3 of the chocolate cream evenly between the two layers. Use the remaining cream to frost the top and sides of the cake.
