Ingredients
- Puff Pastry 20 oz
- Orange zest to taste
- Semi-soft cream cheese 10 oz
- Vanilla salt 1 tablespoon
- Brown Sugar 3 tablespoons
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Whole egg 1 piece
- Wheat Flour a pinch
- Canned Peaches 1 can
- Strawberry 5 pieces
- Butter to taste
- Mineral water 0 fl oz
- Apricot Jam 3 tablespoons
- Powdered Sugar 2 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Grate the orange zest. In a bowl, mix the cottage cheese, sugar, zest, vanilla sugar, and add the brown sugar. Optionally, you can add a teaspoon of grated ginger.
Step 2
In another bowl, beat the egg and egg yolk, then add to the other ingredients. Combine with the cottage cheese mixture and mix well.
Step 3
Roll out the pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut out bases in any shape (squares, circles, hearts, etc.).
Step 4
Slice the mango and strawberries (in any shape). Decorate the bases with them.
Step 5
Grease the parchment paper with butter and transfer it to a baking sheet. Place the bases on the baking sheet and use a glass to press a border on each one. Be careful not to cut through the pastry.
Step 6
Place about a tablespoon of the cottage cheese mixture on each pastry base.
Step 7
Bake in a preheated oven at 390°F for 15–25 minutes.
Step 8
While the danishes are baking, heat 3 tablespoons of apricot jam, 50 ml of water, and 1 tablespoon of sugar in a saucepan. Wait until the sugar dissolves and the sauce reduces slightly.
Step 9
Remove the danishes from the oven and let them cool slightly. Using a pastry brush, apply the apricot sauce to each danish. Allow to cool.
Step 10
Before serving, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
