Ingredients
- Salad Potatoes 0 lbs
- Wheat Flour 2 tablespoons
- Salt to taste
- Vegetable Oil to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Grate the potatoes as you would for potato pancakes. Drain in a colander (if the holes are large, line it with two layers of cheesecloth).
Step 2
Allow the liquid to drain until the potato mixture can be formed into a ball that holds its shape. If the liquid does not drain sufficiently on its own, help it by pressing.
Step 3
Add salt to taste and mix the mass. Form balls about 2–2.5 cm in diameter. Roll them in flour.
Step 4
Fry over medium heat in vegetable oil or fat on all sides until golden brown and cooked through, about 4 minutes.
Step 5
Serve with sour cream or with fried onions and cracklings. And don't forget the milk.
