This sauce can be prepared a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator. It pairs well with pies and ice cream.
Ingredients
- Whole egg 3 pieces
- Sugar 0 oz
- Whipped Cream 10 fl oz
- Ground Coffee 0 oz
- Instant coffee 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Beat the yolks with sugar for about 2 minutes. Bring the cream to a boil in a small saucepan and gradually add it to the beaten yolks. Pour the mixture back into the saucepan and place it over low heat, stirring gently without letting it boil, until the sauce thickens, about 3 minutes.
Step 2
Strain the sauce into a clean bowl, add the instant coffee, and mix well. Then add the ground coffee. Refrigerate for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally and lightly whipping.
