Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 3½ cups

- Baking Powder 1 tablespoon
- Egg white 1 piece
- Milk 0.6 cups
- Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
For the crispy topping: Combine 1.5 cups of flour, ¾ cup of sugar, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, ½ teaspoon of baking powder, and a pinch of salt with 180 grams of butter until crumbly. Add chopped, toasted walnuts, mix, and refrigerate for later use.
Step 2
For the base, preheat the oven to 355°F. Grease and flour a 20x20 cm baking pan.
Step 3
In a mixing bowl, beat 120 grams of butter, ¾ cup of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract for about 3 minutes. Add the egg. Gradually add the dry ingredients and milk in 3 additions, starting and ending with the dry ingredients, while continuing to beat.
Step 4
Pour the batter into the baking pan, smooth it out with a spatula, and evenly distribute the walnut crumble on top. Bake until lightly browned, about 40 minutes.
