Crispy Pastry with Powdered Sugar

Ingredients

  • Sour Cream 5 oz
  • Salt a pinch
  • Wheat Flour 1½ glasses
  • Chicken Egg 1 piece
  • Powdered Sugar to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Place the sour cream in a bowl, add the egg, and mix well.

Step 2

Add flour and salt to the mixture and knead a thick dough.

Step 3

Roll out the dough into a thin sheet (similar to homemade noodles) and cut it into wide strips about 8 cm long. Make a lengthwise slit down the center of each strip, but do not cut through the edges.

Step 4

Bend the strip and insert one end into the slot, then pull it while straightening the strip. As you do this, the separated parts of the strip will twist together, forming a three-dimensional shaped piece.

Step 5

Fry the prepared shaped pieces in vegetable oil, then drain them in a colander to remove excess oil.

Step 6

Arrange on a plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
