Description
Crispy Pastry Twists are simple yet irresistibly delicious cookies.
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 10 oz
- Whole egg 3 pieces
- Sugar 0 oz
- Sour Cream 0 oz
- Milk 5 fl oz
- Vegetable Oil 1½ l
- Salt a pinch
- Powdered Sugar to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
Mix the milk, sour cream, egg yolks, sugar, and salt using a mixer.
Step 3
Gradually add the flour and knead a firm dough.
Step 4
Roll out the dough into a thin layer.
Step 5
Cut the dough into narrow strips 10–12 cm long.
Step 6
Make cuts in the middle of each one and thread the end of the strip through the cut.
Step 7
Heat vegetable oil in a pot or deep fryer.
Step 8
Fry the prepared dough in hot oil.
Step 9
Place the finished straws on paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
Step 10
Before serving, sprinkle the crispy pastries with powdered sugar.
