Creamy Rice with Mushrooms and Oregano
Ingredients
- Basmati rice ½ cup
- Mushrooms 5 pieces
- 30% Cream 5 fl oz
- Onion 1 piece
- Fresh oregano leaves to taste
- Sea Salt to taste
- Vegetable Oil to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Slice the onion into half rings and chop the mushrooms into quarters.
Step 2
Heat a skillet and sauté the onion in vegetable oil, add the mushrooms, and after 3–5 minutes, add the cream. Simmer until cooked. Add oregano.
Step 3
In a heated skillet, add vegetable oil, pour in the dry rice and salt, and mix. Add a cup of hot water and cook until done without lifting the lid over medium heat.
Step 4
Combine the cooked rice with the mushrooms and mix.
