Creamy Chocolate Mousse
Ingredients
- Whole egg 4 pieces
- Sugar ¼ cup
- Salt a pinch
- Cocoa Powder 2 tablespoons
- Liquid dark chocolate 0 oz
- Cream (40%) ¾ cup
- Grated Chocolate to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Chop the chocolate.
Step 2
In a double boiler, whisk the yolks with sugar and salt until warmed. Remove from heat.
Step 3
Add the chocolate and cocoa and mix until smooth. Cool to room temperature.
Step 4
In a bowl, whip the cream to stiff peaks. Gently fold in half of the chocolate mixture, then the remaining half.
Step 5
Divide the mousse into serving dishes and chill.
Step 6
Remove the mousse 15 minutes before serving and sprinkle with chocolate shavings.
