Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour 5 oz
  • Salt a pinch
  • Rice 0 oz
  • Sugar 5 oz
  • Butter 5 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Sift the flour and salt into a bowl, add crushed rice and sugar. Grate the unsalted butter and add it to the flour. Mix until a homogeneous mass is obtained (it is best to take small portions of flour and butter in your hands and rub them in circular motions).

Step 2

Place the mixture in a square baking dish (8x8 inches). Smooth the top. Refrigerate for one hour.

Step 3

Preheat the oven to 285°F.

Step 4

Bake the cookies for 40 minutes until golden. Remove from the oven, poke with a fork, then cut into 20 pieces (down to the bottom). Generously sprinkle with superfine sugar and let cool. Then remove from the dish.
