Cranberry Meringue Pie
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 2 glasses
- Sugar 2 glasses
- Butter 5 oz
- Cranberry 2 glasses
- Chicken Egg 2 pieces
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Separate the egg whites from the yolks, and place the egg whites in the refrigerator for better whipping.
Step 2
Rub the egg yolks with two tablespoons of sugar, add flour and softened butter, and knead the dough.
Step 3
Preheat the oven to 355°F, spread the prepared dough in a 1 cm layer in the baking pan, leaving edges of the dough, and place it in the oven for 10–15 minutes.
Step 4
In a blender, blend the cranberries with a cup of sugar (or more, to taste) until a smooth mixture forms. Remove the baking dish with the prepared dough from the oven and pour the cranberry puree into it.
Step 5
Take the egg whites out of the refrigerator and beat them with a mixer (a blender won't work), gradually adding the remaining sugar. Spread the whipped egg whites over the cranberry puree.
Step 6
Reduce the oven temperature to 210°F and bake until the tops of the egg whites turn light brown (about 40 minutes to 1 hour).
