Cranberry and nutmeg muffins
Ingredients
- Butter 5 oz
- Sugar 1 cup
- Farm fresh eggs 2 pieces
- Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
- Sour Cream 1 container
- Wheat Flour 2 cups
- Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
- Ground Nutmeg to taste
- Activated Baking Soda ½ teaspoon
- Salt ¼ teaspoon
- Dried cranberries with sugar 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 390°F. Grease the muffin tin with butter or place paper liners in each cup.
Step 2
In a bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar. Then add the lightly beaten eggs, vanilla, and sour cream. Mix well.
Step 3
In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, 0.5 teaspoons of nutmeg, and salt.
Step 4
Combine both mixtures, adding the cranberries, and mix well.
Step 5
Fill the cups two-thirds full with the batter, lightly sprinkle with nutmeg on top, and bake for 20-25 minutes until done, checking with a toothpick.
Step 6
Leave in the pan for 1 minute, then transfer to a plate.
