- Crabapples 0 lbs
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cut the stems of the crabapples in half and poke 5–10 holes in each one.
Step 2
Dip the crabapples in hot water for 3–5 minutes, then cool them slightly in cold water.
Step 3
Transfer the crabapples to a basin and pour hot sugar syrup over them. Let the crabapples steep in the syrup for 8–10 hours.
Step 4
Cook for 5–7 minutes 3–4 times with 10–12 hour breaks in between to allow the flavors to meld.
