Ingredients

  • Vegetable Oil 4 tablespoons
  • Semi-soft cream cheese 30 oz
  • Chocolate eggs 4 pieces
  • Sugar 5 oz
  • Wheat Flour 5 oz
  • Baking Powder 2 teaspoons
  • Mandarins 20 oz
  • Lemon 1 piece
  • Butter 5 oz
  • 20% Sour Cream 5 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Using a mixer, combine the cottage cheese (300 grams) with vegetable oil, egg, and sugar, then add the sifted flour with baking powder and knead the dough.

Step 2

Grease a baking dish (I used one with a diameter of 24 cm, but 26 cm is also fine) with oil, roll out the dough, place it in the dish, create high edges, and while preparing the filling, put it in the refrigerator.

Step 3

For the filling, separate the egg whites from the yolks, beat them, and place them in the refrigerator. Wash the lemon, grate 1 teaspoon of zest, and squeeze 1 tablespoon of lemon juice.

Step 4

Using a mixer, beat the softened butter, sugar, and yolks. Add the cottage cheese (600 grams), sour cream, baking powder, zest, and lemon juice, and mix well. Peel the mandarins, remove the membranes, and add half of the segments to the filling. Gently fold in the beaten egg whites. Mix everything well again.

Step 5

Remove the dough from the refrigerator, spread the cottage cheese mixture over it, place the remaining mandarin segments on top, and bake the pie in a preheated oven at 355°F for one hour. If the top browns too much, cover it with foil.

Step 6

Allow the pie to cool before serving.
