Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 1½ glasses
- Low-fat lactose-free milk 20 oz
- Chicken Egg 2 pieces
- Sour Cream 5 oz
- Butter 5 oz
- Sugar 1 glass
- Baking Powder 1 tablespoon
- Vanillin 0 oz
- Dates 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Combine the flour with the sugar (1/3 cup), butter, vanilla, and baking powder until crumbly. Press half of the crumb mixture evenly into the bottom of a baking dish.
Step 2
Remove the pits from the dates, open them up, and arrange them evenly on top of the crumbs.
Step 3
Preheat the oven to 355°F. Mix the cottage cheese with the egg yolks and sour cream until smooth. Whip the egg whites with 2/3 cup of sugar until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the cottage cheese mixture, being careful to combine until smooth.
Step 4
Pour the filling into the dish. Evenly sprinkle the remaining crumbs over the filling. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the crumbs are golden brown.
