Description

If desired, you can add an egg, baking powder, and sugar to the dough. You can also use 200 grams of butter instead of 100 grams, especially if the cottage cheese is low-fat. This is up to your discretion. I usually use less flour, adjusting based on the consistency of the dough. There's also an option to place a round slice of apple in the center.

Ingredients

  • Cottage cheese 20 oz
  • Butter 5 oz
  • Wheat Flour 5 oz
  • Chicken Egg 1 piece
  • Sugar 4 tablespoons
  • Raisins to taste
  • Vanilla salt 1 tablespoon

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Mix the cottage cheese with chopped butter (for a creamier texture, you can push the cottage cheese through a sieve).

Step 2

Sift the flour and mix it with the cottage cheese mixture. Add the vanilla sugar.

Step 3

Form the dough into a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least an hour.

Step 4

Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1 cm and cut out circles of two different diameters.

Step 5

Brush the larger circles with the egg beaten with sugar.

Step 6

Place the smaller circles on top. Brush with the remaining egg mixture. Press a raisin into the center of the pastry.

Step 7

Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or greased with butter, and refrigerate for about 20 minutes.

Step 8

Bake for 20–30 minutes at 355°F.

Step 9

Dust with powdered sugar.
