Cottage Cheese Pastries with Apples and Sugar
Baking and Desserts • Spanish
Description
The dough may turn out slightly sticky — you can add a little more flour while rolling it out. The pastries bake well in the oven, so do not place them too close to each other on the baking sheet. You will get about 12–15 pieces. If you add too much flour, the dough will not be as crumbly.
Ingredients
- Cottage cheese 5 oz
- Milk 5 fl oz
- Wheat Flour 10 oz
- Vegetable Oil 5 fl oz
- Baking Powder 4 teaspoons
- Sugar 5 oz
- Apple 3 pieces
- Walnuts 0 oz
- Butter 0 oz
- Salt a pinch
- Vanillin 0 oz
- Cream 0 fl oz
- Whole egg 1 piece
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Peel the apples, cut them into cubes, place them in a saucepan, add the butter and 20 grams of sugar. Simmer for a bit. Add the chopped walnuts, mix, turn off the heat, and let cool.
Step 2
Mix the milk, cottage cheese, and vegetable oil.
Step 3
Combine the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and vanillin.
Step 4
Mix the cottage cheese with the flour to knead the dough.
Step 5
Roll out the dough to a thickness of 0.5 cm. Cut out circles with a diameter of 12 cm. Place a little apple filling on one half, brush the edges with the yolk beaten with cream, fold the pastry in half, and press the edges.
Step 6
Place on parchment paper, brush the top with the egg mixture. Bake in the oven for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
