Cottage Cheese Pastries
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 10 oz
- Cottage cheese 15 oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Farm fresh eggs 2 pieces
- Lemon 1 piece
- Saffron 0 oz
- Orange zest 1 piece
- Butter 0 oz
- Salt to taste
- Powdered Sugar to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Knead 200 g of flour with softened butter, add salt. Add a few tablespoons of warm water. Knead the dough. Wrap it in parchment paper and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Step 2
Mash the cottage cheese with sugar, eggs, the remaining flour, and saffron. Add finely grated zest of the orange and lemon. Mix everything thoroughly.
Step 3
Roll out the dough thinly, cut out several circles with a diameter of 10 cm. Place a spoonful of cottage cheese evenly on each, raise the edges and secure in several places. Place parchment paper on a baking sheet, arrange the pastries, and bake at 390°F for about 20 minutes.
Step 4
Spray the finished pastries with cold water and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
