Cottage Cheese Dessert with Banana
Ingredients
- Gelatin 0 oz
- Milk 1½ cups
- Sour Cream 10 oz
- Semi-soft cream cheese 15 oz
- Sugar 1 cup
- Vanilla salt 2 tablespoons
- Chocolate 0 oz
- Bananas 1 piece
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Soak the gelatin in cold milk and leave for 1–2 hours until it swells.
Step 2
Heat the swollen gelatin until completely dissolved, but do not boil.
Step 3
Add sugar and vanilla sugar to the hot gelatin solution and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Strain. Beat the cottage cheese (if very grainy, pass it through a sieve) and sour cream with a mixer.
Step 4
Add the gelatin mixture and mix well again. The mixture will be slightly warm.
Step 5
Divide into two parts, adding melted chocolate to one of them.
Step 6
Pour the white mixture into a cold mold and place it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes, while allowing the chocolate mixture to cool at room temperature.
Step 7
Place banana halves on the thickened white mixture (photo) and carefully pour the chocolate mixture over it. Refrigerate overnight.
Step 8
Place the mold with the set dessert in warm water for a few minutes (1–3), invert it, place the cottage cheese dessert on a plate, and decorate with chocolate crumbs.
