Cottage Cheese Cookies "Snails"
Ingredients
- Cottage cheese 5 oz
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- Sugar 0 oz
- Egg white 2 pieces
- Baking Powder a pinch
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Mash part of the cottage cheese (120 g) with the yolks and 1/3 of the sugar (you can add more for a sweeter dough). Add baking soda or baking powder. Gradually add the flour. Leave the resulting dough in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
Step 2
Mix the remaining cottage cheese and sugar. You can add sour cream or milk if the filling is not soft enough.
Step 3
Preheat the oven to 180–390°F. Roll out the dough to 3–5 mm, spread the filling on half of the dough, and cover with the other half. Roll into a log and cut into cookies (about 1 cm). Place in the oven for 20–25 minutes.
