Description

Regular cottage cheese can be replaced with soft cheese, making the texture of the casserole more similar to cheesecake. To reduce calories, you can omit the yolks and use only whipped egg whites. The result is a very tasty dietary casserole with various filling combinations to suit your taste.

Ingredients

  • Cottage cheese 20 oz
  • Egg white 3 pieces
  • Honey 3 tablespoons
  • Butter 0 oz
  • Apple 2 pieces
  • Cinnamon to taste
  • Meyer Lemon Juice to taste
  • Salt a pinch

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Separate the yolks from the whites. Whisk the yolks with 2 tablespoons of honey until light in color.

Step 2

Soften the cottage cheese. Add 4 tablespoons of honey and pour in the yolk mixture. Mix until smooth.

Step 3

Whip the egg whites with a pinch of salt and a few drops of lemon juice until stiff peaks form.

Step 4

Gently fold the egg whites into the cottage cheese mixture.

Step 5

Grease a baking dish with butter and pour the entire mixture into the dish.

Step 6

Slice the apples thinly and arrange them on top of the casserole.

Step 7

Place in a preheated oven at 390°F and bake for 30–40 minutes at 340°F.

Step 8

After baking, leave in the oven for 15 minutes. Then cool at room temperature and serve. Alternatively, refrigerate for an hour or overnight for a delicious, hearty dietary breakfast in the morning.

You can sprinkle with cinnamon and garnish with mint.
