  • Cottage cheese 10 oz
  • Egg white 3 pieces
  • Sugar 5 oz
  • Orange zest 1 piece
  • 10% cream 10 oz
  • Vanillin a pinch
  • Potato protein 2 tablespoons

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

The cottage cheese dough is made very simply. The cottage cheese is mashed with vanillin and sugar into a homogeneous mass (you can use a mixer, blender, or whisk).

Step 2

From the washed and dried orange, zest is grated (using a fine grater). Add the orange zest, potato starch, raw eggs, and sour cream to the cottage cheese mixture. Beat with a mixer until smooth.

Step 3

If you are using a shortcrust base, spread it in a thin layer on the bottom and sides of a baking dish lined with parchment paper. Now pour the cottage cheese-orange mixture into the pie dish, spread it evenly across the surface, and place it in a preheated oven. Bake the cottage cheese cake at 355°F in a closed oven for about 50 minutes. If it seems that the pie is not baked in the middle — don't worry. Let it cool, and it will set better, so to speak. Under no circumstances should you cut it while it's hot!
