- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
- Milk 0 fl oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Vanillin to taste
- Ground dried cherries 0 oz
- Butter 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 355°F.
Step 2
Mix the two types of flour, sugar, and vanillin.

Cut the cold butter into cubes (or grate it on a coarse grater) and rub it into the flour. You should get a fine crumb. Place the crumb in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes; meanwhile, you can chop the cherries into small cubes.
Step 4
Slowly add the milk to the chilled crumb. You may need more or less milk; the dough should be rich and slightly sticky to the hands.
Step 5
Add the cherries to the dough (you can also add chopped chocolate or chocolate chips, almonds).
Step 6
Pinch off a piece of dough the size of a walnut.
Step 7
Place in the oven for 10–15 minutes.
