Ingredients
- Cornish Hen 1 piece
- Water 0 qt
- Lemon-Pepper Mix to taste
- Saffron 1 tablespoon
- Dried onion powder 1 tablespoon
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Rinse the Cornish hen in cold water.
Step 2
Cut it in half.
Step 3
Transfer to a deep pot.
Step 4
Pour in drinking water and set to high heat.
Step 5
Once the water boils, reduce the heat to medium and skim off the foam.
Step 6
Add whole pepper.
Step 7
Lower the heat a bit more and cover with a lid.
Step 8
After 20 minutes, add saffron and dried onion. Stir.
Step 9
After 3 minutes, add salt and the egg. Stir vigorously.
Step 10
After 2 minutes, the broth is ready. Pour into a suitable dish and serve, adding the chicken shredded or cut into strips.
