Corn Stick Chak-Chak
Baking and Desserts • Tatar
Description
For ease of mixing, you can use powdered sugar. There are recipes that recommend using a water bath to prepare the syrup, but as practice shows, this is not necessary. It's better to use a larger plate because when it's too tight, it's not very convenient. It cooks faster and easier than you might think.
Ingredients
- Butter 5 oz
- Honey 4 tablespoons
- Sugar 4 tablespoons
- Water 4 tablespoons
- Sweet Corn Sticks 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Pour the pack of corn sticks into a plate. The corn sticks, as the main ingredient, should be of good quality and sturdy, meaning they hold their shape even in the package. The dish should be convenient with a flat bottom so that the syrup does not spill and at the same time does not splash. It is better to use corn sticks from one package, that is, take a 150-gram pack right away.
Step 2
Mix honey, granulated sugar, and water in a saucepan or a convenient bowl. Place it over low heat and, stirring gently, heat the mixture and dissolve the sugar. Add the butter. Let it melt. Stir until smooth.
Step 3
Pour the resulting syrup over the corn sticks and place it in the refrigerator for an hour. And... the dessert is ready.
