Cookies with Orange Glaze and Candied Fruits
Baking and Desserts • American
Description
The cookies can be stored in a tin can. On the third day, they become even tastier.
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- Butter 5 oz
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Salt a pinch
- Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
- 10% cream 2 tablespoons
- Sugar 5 oz
- Orange juice concentrate 3 teaspoons
- Candied fruits to taste
- Powdered Sugar 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cut the chilled butter into pieces. Sift the flour. Combine all the ingredients for the dough (flour, butter, baking powder, sugar, egg, cream, salt). Knead into a uniform mass. Form a ball from the dough and refrigerate for 20–30 minutes.
Step 2
Roll out the dough and cut out shapes with cookie cutters. Place them on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 355°F for 15 minutes or until the cookies are golden brown. Remove the finished cookies and let them cool.
Step 3
Mix the powdered sugar with the orange juice. Coat the cooled cookies with the glaze. Decorate with candied fruits (any kind). I used orange ones.
