- Wheat Flour 1½ cups
- Baking Powder ¾ teaspoon
- Salt ½ teaspoon
- Butter 10 oz
- Brown Sugar 1 cup
- Whole egg 1 piece
- Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
- Candied fruits 5 oz
- Grated Ginger Root ¼ teaspoon

Preheat the oven to 355°F.
Step 2
Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Using a mixer, cream the softened butter with the brown sugar for about 3 minutes. Add the egg yolk, vanilla, ground ginger, and finely chopped ginger. Mix in the flour mixture until well combined.
Step 3
Drop the cookie dough by the teaspoon onto a greased baking sheet, leaving space between them, and bake for 13-15 minutes until golden. Let them sit on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a plate.
