Colorful Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting
Ingredients
- Sugar 1 glass
- Chicken Egg 8 pieces
- Self-rising flour 3 glasses
- Butter 5 oz
- Cocoa Powder 2 spoons
- Red Food Coloring ¼ spoons
- Semi-soft cream cheese 20 oz
- Powdered Sugar 2 glasses
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 355°F.
Step 2
Beat the eggs with the sugar until the volume triples (for about 8–10 minutes).
Step 3
Sift the flour. Melt the butter. Gently and slowly fold the flour and butter into the beaten eggs.
Step 4
Divide the dough into three parts. Add cocoa to one part and gently mix. To another part, incorporate pink food coloring.
Step 5
Pour the batter into three 20 cm diameter cake pans lined with parchment paper. Bake for 12–15 minutes (the layers will pull away from the edges of the pans). Allow to cool on a wire rack.
Step 6
Beat the softened butter and cream cheese with a mixer for 6–8 minutes. Add the powdered sugar and continue to beat for another 6–8 minutes until light and fluffy.
Step 7
Spread 1/4 of the cream on the first and second cake layers. Use the remaining cream to cover the third layer and the entire cake.
