Coffee Cake with Cola
Ingredients
- Ground Coffee 2 tablespoons
- Cola 10 fl oz
- 70% Dark Chocolate 0 oz
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Salt ½ teaspoon
- Wheat Flour 10 oz
- Activated Baking Soda ½ teaspoon
- Grated Ginger Root to taste
- Cinnamon to taste
- Sugar 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 355°F.
Step 2
Grate the chocolate using a fine grater.
Step 3
In a small saucepan, heat the cola, coffee, chocolate, and butter. Add the sugar. Stir until the butter melts and the sugar dissolves, then remove from heat and let cool.
Step 4
In a bowl, mix the flour, salt, and baking soda.
Step 5
In another container, beat the egg, add it to the cooled coffee mixture while stirring constantly. Then add to the flour and mix until smooth.
Step 6
Distribute the batter into the baking molds, filling them slightly below the edges. The batter should not rise too much. Bake for 25 minutes. The cakes are ready when the center springs back when pressed.
