Coconut Pastries
Ingredients
- Cream of tartar ¼ teaspoon
- Powdered Sugar 10 oz
- Sweetened Condensed Milk with Coffee 15 oz
- Desiccated coconut 10 oz
- Red Food Coloring a pinch
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Grease a 20x20 cm square baking pan with oil and line it with parchment paper.
Step 2
Sift the powdered sugar and cream of tartar into a bowl, mix, and add the condensed milk. Using a wooden spoon, fold in half of the shredded coconut, then the remaining part. Mix well with your hands. Divide the mixture into 2 parts. In one part, add 2–3 drops of food coloring and mix well.
Step 3
Spread the pink mixture evenly on the bottom of the baking pan, then layer the white part on top. Lightly press down and refrigerate for 1–2 hours until set.
Step 4
Remove from the pan, peel off the paper, and cut into small pieces.
