Coconut-Almond Chocolate Truffles

Ingredients

  • Sweetened Condensed Milk with Coffee 5 oz
  • Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
  • Salt a pinch
  • Desiccated coconut 15 oz
  • Powdered Sugar 2¼ cups
  • Chopped almonds 0 oz
  • Liquid dark chocolate 15 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Line a 9x13 inch baking dish with foil and lightly grease with vegetable oil.

Step 2

In a bowl, mix together the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla, and salt.

Step 3

Gradually stir in the powdered sugar and mix well with a wooden spoon. Then add the coconut and mix again thoroughly.

Step 4

Transfer the mixture to the dish, smooth it out, and press it down slightly. Place the almonds evenly spaced apart, pressing them in slightly. Refrigerate for 1 hour.

Step 5

Using a sharp knife, cut the mixture into small rectangles.

Step 6

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler.

Step 7

Dip the truffles in the chocolate until fully coated and place them on the baking sheet. Chill for 30 minutes until the chocolate sets.
