Classic Tiramisu
Ingredients
- Whole egg 3 pieces
- Mascarpone Cheese Unagrande 20 oz
- Sugar 3 tablespoons
- Savoiardi Cookies 15 oz
- Dark rum 2 tablespoons
- Cocoa Powder 0 oz
- Espresso 1 cup
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Whip the egg yolks with sugar until pale.
Step 2
Fold the mascarpone cheese into the whipped yolks.
Step 3
Brew strong espresso and add the rum.
Step 4
Quickly dip the savoiardi biscuits into the cooled coffee (very briefly, so they don't get soggy), arranging them tightly in a row in a dessert dish.
Step 5
Cover the savoiardi with a layer of cream about one centimeter thick.
Step 6
On top of the cream layer, add another layer of coffee-soaked savoiardi and cover it with cream as well.
Step 7
Dust the top layer with cocoa powder (it's better to do this through a sieve) for decoration.
