Description

Classic cupcakes with whipped cream frosting

Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour 1½ cups
  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Salt ½ teaspoon
  • Baking Powder ½ teaspoon
  • Melted Cheese 5 oz
  • Egg white 1 piece
  • Activated Baking Soda ¼ teaspoon
  • 20% Sour Cream 2½ tablespoons
  • Milk ¾ cup
  • Vanilla salt 3 teaspoons
  • Cream (40%) 20 oz
  • Powdered Sugar 0 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Mix sugar, egg, 2 teaspoons of vanilla sugar, sour cream, and milk with a whisk or fork. Add the melted (cooled) butter to the mixture and mix well again.

Step 2

In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Step 3

Sift the flour mixture into the bowl with the milk mixture. Whisk everything together until smooth.

Step 4

Pour the batter into cupcake liners, filling them 2/3 full, as the batter will rise during baking. Place in a preheated oven at 355°F for about 10–15 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick (the cupcakes should be white; if they start to brown, they are drying out).

Step 5

Prepare the frosting for the cupcakes. Mix powdered sugar with 1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar. Chill the heavy cream and the bowl you will use to make the frosting.

Step 6

Whip the cream with a mixer, starting at low speed and gradually increasing. In the middle of whipping, add the powdered sugar in a thin stream.

Step 7

Once the cream reaches soft peaks and holds its shape, reduce the mixer speed and stop whipping.

Step 8

Decorate the cupcakes with frosting and any toppings of your choice.
