Classic Chicken Soup
Ingredients
- Cornish Hen 25 oz
- Water 0 qt
- Carrot 5 oz
- Lemon-Pepper Mix ½ teaspoon
- Nutmeg a pinch
- Ocean salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cut the hen in half.
Step 2
Thoroughly peel the carrot.
Step 3
Slice into thin rounds.
Step 4
Place the chicken in a pot, add the carrot, and cover with drinking water. Set on high heat.
Step 5
Once the broth boils, reduce the heat and skim off the foam. Cook covered for 20 minutes.
Step 6
Two minutes before cooking is done, add pepper.
Step 7
Then add salt to taste.
Step 8
Add a pinch of nutmeg.
Step 9
When the soup is ready, shred the chicken.
Step 10
Return the chicken to the pot. Serve the soup in deep bowls.
Step 11
Garnish with herbs and serve.
