Description

Clafoutis with Pears and Dried Cherries

Ingredients

  • Butter to taste
  • Wheat Flour 0 oz
  • Ground dried cherries 5 oz
  • Anjou Pear 1 piece
  • 3.2% Milk 5 fl oz
  • Cream (40%) 5 fl oz
  • Vanilla extract 0 fl oz
  • Large eggs 2 pieces
  • Sugar 0 oz
  • Salt a pinch

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 390°F. Grease a 25 cm round baking dish with butter. Lightly dust with flour and shake off the excess.

Step 2

Transfer the cherries to a bowl and pour boiling water over them. Let sit for 10 minutes.

Step 3

Peel the pear, remove the core, and cut it in half lengthwise. Then slice it thinly and arrange the slices in a circle in the prepared dish.

Step 4

In a food processor, combine the milk, cream, eggs, vanilla, sugar, flour, and a pinch of salt. Blend well and pour the batter over the pears.

Step 5

Drain the cherries and sprinkle them on top of the batter. Gently press down.

Step 6

Bake until set and golden brown, about 25 minutes. Let cool for about 15 minutes and cut into segments.
