Clafoutis with Chocolate and Plums

Ingredients

  • Plums 8 pieces
  • Sugar 5 oz
  • Farm fresh eggs 6 pieces
  • Wheat Flour 5 oz
  • Butter 5 oz
  • 70% Dark Chocolate 5 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Wash the plums, cut them in half, and remove the pits. Make several crosswise cuts on the skin, about 3–4 mm apart.

Step 2

Break the chocolate into small pieces and melt it in a double boiler.

Step 3

In a large bowl, mix the flour and sugar. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with the melted butter. Gently pour the egg mixture into the flour. Stir until smooth.

Step 4

Pour the melted chocolate into the batter and mix well.

Step 5

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease 4 baking dishes with butter. Distribute the chocolate batter among the dishes.

Step 6

Place 2 halves of plums in each dish. Put them in the oven and bake for 25 minutes.
