Cinnamon Rolls with Vanilla Glaze
Ingredients
- Unleavened dough 20 oz
- Puff Pastry 20 oz
- Powdered Sugar 5 oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Cinnamon 0 oz
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Butter 5 oz
- Milk 5 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Roll out the dough to a thickness of 4–5 mm and spread the butter on top. Distribute it evenly over the surface.
Step 2
Add cinnamon to the sugar and also distribute this mixture over the entire area of the dough.
Step 3
Roll the dough into a log and cut into pieces (about 2–3 cm thick). Transfer them to a baking sheet. Brush the tops with egg.
Step 4
Take the puff pastry. Repeat all the same steps as in points 1–3, but divide the large sheet of dough in half to increase the number of puff pastry 'ears'.
Step 5
Place all the baked goods in the oven for 20 minutes at 390°F.
Step 6
Prepare the glaze. In a dry bowl, sift the powdered sugar, add a little vanillin, and gradually pour in the milk while stirring constantly. Heat the mixture over low heat. Ideally, it should become a homogeneous snow-white mass with a glossy surface.
Step 7
The puff pastry 'ears' are ready. Drizzle them with the glaze. Leave the larger rolls in the oven for another 7–10 minutes. Also drizzle the sweet rolls with glaze.
