Cinnamon rolls with vanilla cream sauce
Ingredients
- Milk 1 glass
- Sugar ½ glasses
- Dry yeast 2¼ spoons
- Margarine 1 glass
- Salt 1⅒ spoons
- Chicken Egg 2 pieces
- Wheat Flour 4 glasses
- Brown Sugar 1 glass
- Ground Cinnamon 2½ spoons
- Semi-soft cream cheese ¼ glasses
- Powdered Sugar 1½ glasses
- Vanilla salt ½ spoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm milk (not exceeding 104°F) and let it sit for 5 minutes.
Step 2
Add sugar, margarine (1/3 cup), salt (1 teaspoon), eggs, flour, and mix thoroughly with a spoon.
Step 3
Knead the dough with your hands lightly dusted with flour.
Step 4
Cover the bowl with the dough with a lid and place it in a warm spot for about 1 hour.
Step 5
When the dough has risen and doubled in size, place it on a lightly floured surface and roll it out into a large rectangle (approximately 21.5 x 15.5 inches) to a thickness of about 1 cm.
Step 6
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Step 7
In the meantime, spread 1/3 cup of margarine over the surface of the dough, then evenly sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
Step 8
Taking the piece of dough by the long edge, carefully roll it into a log and cut it into 12 equal pieces.
Step 9
Place the rolled dough in a lightly greased baking dish and transfer to the preheated oven. Bake for about 10 minutes (or until golden brown).
Step 10
While the buns are in the oven, mix together 8 tablespoons of margarine, powdered sugar, cream cheese, vanilla, and a pinch of salt for the sauce. Beat the mixture with a mixer.
Step 11
Once the rolls are ready, generously drizzle them with sauce and serve immediately.
