  • Butter 5 oz
  • Milk 15 fl oz
  • Wheat Flour 1½ kg
  • Salt 1 tablespoon
  • Sugar 5 oz
  • Dry yeast 0 oz
  • Cinnamon to taste
  • Candied fruits to taste
  • Chicken Egg 1 piece

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Melt 150 grams of butter in a pot, pour in the milk, and heat to 100°F. Crumble the yeast into a bowl and pour in a small amount of the butter-milk mixture. Let it sit for a while until the yeast mixture becomes frothy. Then add the flour, salt, 150 grams of sugar, and the remaining milk mixture. Knead the dough and then cover it with a towel and let it rest for about 30 minutes. It should start to rise.

Step 2

Divide the dough into two parts. Melt the remaining 50 grams of butter. Roll each piece of dough into a sheet about 5 mm thick and brush with a small amount of melted butter. Sprinkle with the remaining sugar and cinnamon. Roll up into a log and cut into pieces 1 cm long. Place the rolls in muffin tins and let them "rest" for half an hour.

Step 3

Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 435°F. Brush the buns with beaten egg and sprinkle with granulated sugar. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven, cover with a kitchen towel, and let cool.
